Update on Cong Cong

"The orphanage know that he is in danger now, so they arrange him in a better hospital...The doctor had his marrow checked and the report will be made soon, which will tell us if he can have Chemo.”

CongCong’s friend, Kobe, e-mailed us this promising news a few days ago. After some testing, CongCong’s doctor believes he qualifies for chemo treatments. Furthermore, the orphanage where he grew up has agreed to cover the expenses of chemo! Both of these events are truly miracles!

While the hope of treatment has uplifted his spirits, CongCong is still very sick right now. He is in the hospital and does not have a mom and dad to stand beside him and give comfort. If you or I faced a scary illness, we would have family to encourage us, hold and hug us.

We can’t physically fill that need, but we can do something to let him know we are standing with him in faith. You see, CongCong is not only an orphan, he is a believer. As a member of God’s family, let’s come beside him and be the family he lacks!

Please join us in praying 1) CongCong will know God’s comfort as he faces a difficult treatment 2) the chemo will be effective and 3) CongCong will know he is not alone.

Also, take a minute to send an e-mail to CongCong, using the button located on the right side of this blog. We can encourage CongCong by telling him we are praying for him and letting him know he is not alone. Be sure to let him know who you are and where you’re writing from. How awesome it will be for him to be surrounded by letters from all over world!
